I don’t normally do Landscape. It requires planning, tripods and early mornings. When you’re a visitor on a family walk with five boys, you have to take what opportunities you can find. I saw a small path, running through a development plot on the outskirts of Meaford, leading to the bayfront. The breakwaters were strewn with branches and roots of small trees and bushes, the rocks half coated in ice, all signs of recent storm. It was cold, damp inhospitable place, quite different from my last visit in the summer of ‘05 when we swam in the warm waters of Lake Huron.
